What the Date Difference Calculator does
This tool counts how much time sits between two calendar dates. Pick a start date and an end date, and it instantly gives you the exact difference broken down into years, months and days, along with a friendly “X weeks and Y days” line. Below that it shows the same span as running totals in each unit: total days, total weeks, total months and total years. How to use it

- Need to count the final day too? Switch on Include end date.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I count the number of days between two dates?
- Pick your start date and your end date, and the result appears live, with no Calculate button. The tool shows the exact years, months and days between them, plus the total number of days, weeks, months and years. Each field also has a Today button so you can drop in the current date with one tap.
- Does it matter which date I put first?
- No. If you enter the dates in reverse order the tool still measures the gap correctly and simply notes it, and there is a Swap button to flip the two dates instantly. For the plain difference the order never changes the result.
- What does the Include end date option do?
- By default the count runs from the start date up to, but not including, the end date. Turn on Include end date to count the final day itself, which is handy for things like vacation days or an event that runs through its last day.
- Can it count only working days?
