Random Color Generator

Free random HEX color generator. Create one or up to 100 random hex codes instantly in your browser for CSS, design palettes and inspiration. No sign-up.

What the Random Color Generator does

This tool spins up random HEX colors on demand, one fresh #RRGGBB value per line. Tell it how many you want and it fills a list you can copy straight into CSS, a design file, or a palette. It is handy when you are staring at a blank canvas and need a starting point, hunting for an accent shade, or just want a quick batch of swatches to react to. Designers, front-end developers, hobbyists, and anyone picking colors for a slide deck or logo will get use out of it.

How to use it

  1. In the How many field, type the number of colors you want. The default is 5, and you can ask for anywhere from 1 to 100.
  2. The list generates automatically, but you can press the Generate button (the round-arrow button) any time you want a brand new set.
  3. Read off the HEX codes in the output box. Each line is a separate color like #3af1c9.
  4. Click Copy to grab the whole list, then paste it into your stylesheet, design tool, or notes.

Why generate colors here

It is instant and runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you generate is sent anywhere. There is no account to make and no cap on how often you can hit Generate. Because the values are plain HEX, they drop into CSS, Figma, Sketch, Tailwind config, or any tool that speaks hex without conversion. Want a different vibe? Just press Generate again and a completely new spread appears in a fraction of a second.

A quick tip

Set How many to a higher number like 20 or 30 to scan a wide range fast, then keep the two or three codes that catch your eye and toss the rest. Pairing a random base with your own tweaks in a color picker is often quicker than picking everything by hand from scratch.

Frequently asked questions

How many random colors can I generate at once?
You can generate anywhere from 1 to 100 colors in a single batch. Type the amount in the How many field and the list updates right away, with each HEX code on its own line.
What color format does it output?
Every result is a standard 6-digit HEX code in #RRGGBB form, like #3af1c9. You can paste these straight into CSS, Figma, Tailwind, or any tool that accepts hex values.
Are the colors truly random each time?
Yes. Each click of Generate produces a fresh, independent set drawn from the full 16 million color range, so you rarely see the same combination twice.
Does this work without an internet connection or sign-up?
The generator runs entirely in your browser with no account needed. Once the page is loaded it keeps working offline, and nothing you create is uploaded anywhere.
